Yard Assistant

Location: Abu Dhabi
Industry: Metal Scrap Processing
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Required: Minimum 2 years in a similar field
Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable Yard Assistant to support our operations team. The ideal candidate
should be fluent in English and have prior yard assistant experience in the metal scrap industry.
Key Responsibilities:
 Manage weighbridge operations for incoming and outgoing vehicles.
 Handle weighment slips and maintain related reports.
 Assist in receiving and dispatching metal scrap loads purchased / sold by the company.
 Update the stock information of processed stocks (metal scraps) daily.
 Maintain communication with drivers and yard staff regarding weighment instructions.
 Supervise and support basic operations in the warehouse.
 Monitor the usage and functioning of machines such as metal wire shredders and granulators.
 Coordinate with supervisors on day-to-day yard activities.
Requirements:
 Fluent in English (spoken and written)
 Basic computer/data entry skills
 Minimum 2 years of experience in a metal scrap processing environment
 Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic knowledge of processing machinery
 Physically fit and willing to work in a yard/warehouse environment
 Education: Higher Secondary or a diploma
