Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a skilled Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, terminating, and testing various types of low-voltage cabling systems, including structured cabling, fiber optic cabling, and coaxial cabling. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our network infrastructure to support our smart technology solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cabling systems following industry standards and best practices.
• Plan and execute cabling installations for smart home automation, commercial buildings, and outdoor environments.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to determine the layout and routing of cabling systems.
• Perform cable pulls, dressing, and labeling to ensure neat and organized installations.
• Test and troubleshoot cabling infrastructure using cable testers, OTDRs (Optical Time Domain Reflectometers), and other testing equipment.
• Document and maintain accurate records of cabling installations, including as-built drawings and test results.
• Collaborate with other team members, including project managers, engineers, and installers, to ensure timely completion of projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cabling Technician, with a strong background in installing and maintaining structured cabling and fiber optic systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and codes, such as TIA/EIA, ANSI, and NEC, related to cabling installation and testing.
• Proficiency in using cabling tools and equipment, including cable strippers, crimpers, punch down tools, fusion splicers, and OTDRs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve cabling issues effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
